Canadian Heritage was founded by two former wildland firefighters, Jamie Parker and Mike Wenzlawe, who developed their roasting skills on the Fireline. The brand was launched in 2015 and has stayed true to its roots: bold flavour, clean sourcing, and a deep respect for Canada's wilderness. One Million Trees and Two Percent for Conservation

For every bag purchased, one tree is planted. Over one million trees have been planted to date. Canadian Heritage is also a 2% for Conservation Certified roaster, committing two percent of revenue to conservation efforts, since day one, before they even had a logo. Partnerships include Veritree for impact tracking and the Wilder Institute for whooping crane habitat restoration.

Our Story

Canadian Heritage Roasting Company was founded in 2015 by University of Calgary alumni Jamie Parker and Mike Wenzlawe. Both former wildland firefighters, they spent long days on the fireline honing a passion for great coffee. What started as a campfire hobby became a Calgary roaster dedicated to delivering organic coffees that strike the perfect balance between bold and easy-drinking.

The brand's name reflects a shared love of Canada's wilderness. Every product is themed around Canadian wildlife and landscapes, from Grizzly and Bison blends to the Salmon Run and Burnt Timber roasts.
